Hauppauge, NY, May 10, 2000 -- Aero-Vision Technologies, Inc has been selected to receive the Innovator of the Year award by the Long Island Business News. The award honors Long Island ingenuity during 1999, and is awarded by a prominent committee consisting of representatives from the Bank of New York, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Collard & Roe, and the New York Institute of Technology. 

Aero-Vision’s new product and service is the ExtremeSpeed MicroNode system for in-building deployments, targeted at the Hotel, Commercial, and Residential MDU markets.  The service uses proprietary multi-spectral wireless data distribution and management technologies, which provides Aero-Vision customers with fast, low cost broadband Internet access, as well as future growth capability to full motion video and integrated telephony. Distribution via the wireless media inside the building avoids the need for expensive wiring installations, and enables rapid deployments. Initial service roll-out during 1999 was at The Plaza, one of New York’s premiere hotels. 

The award will be presented at a special breakfast at the Hilton Huntington Hotel  on May 18^th,  2000.
